Not at all. Our service charges are $50 per hour, plus $15 per backdrop pull ($25 for Muslin backdrop). If you aren’t pulling the backdrop to the floor, there is no charge for it. All the equipment is included in the price with no hidden fees for using anything that the space offers.
The booking time must include the setup and the breakdown of the set. Please calculate the time of your stay accordingly.
The space is guaranteed to have the following selection of backdrops at all times: white, gray, nude, almond, pink, blue, green, yellow, black. If you’d like to request a backdrop color that isn’t in stock, reach out to us at least two days prior to your visit to request that. There will be a $40 special request charge associated with that + the $10 per pull.
Three backdrops are mounted on the rack at all times, the rest are stocked in the space, ready for use. However, the client is responsible for mounting the desired color (if it’s not already in place). If you’d like to request a certain color to be mounted prior to your booking, please reach out to us. There is an up-charge for such request and the amount depends on the number of backdrops you’d like us to mount: $20 for one, $30 for two, $40 for three, $30 for a muslin backdrop.
Free street parking is available in the neighborhood. Please arrive early to make sure you have some extra time to look for it.
Grattan Studio is a self-service space. There will be no assistant present during your booking. However, if you’d like to request an extra pair of hands, reach out to us upon booking your session. We’ll gladly assist you with that for an extra $50 per hour of an assistance fee based on our availability.
Your access details instructions email will contain the information on how to lock the door upon your departure.
Grattan Studio is located on the second floor of a building and provides nice diffused daylight during summer months and direct sunlight entering the space directly during spring, fall and winter months.
Grattan studio works on self-sufficiency, we expect our clients to upkeep the space and leave it in the way it was presented at the start of the session. If the space is left unclean and disorganized, a $50 fee will be applied. We also reserve the right to deny future services to clients who fail to demonstrate the ability to comply with studio rules.

Guests may cancel their booking up to 7 days before the event start time for a full refund, and up to 72 hours before the event start time for a 50% refund. Booking cancellations submitted less than 72 hours before the session start time are non-refundable.   

You can reschedule the booking with just a phone call or by sending us an email request here: A $50 rescheduling fee will be applied to rescheduling requests submitted between 7 days to 72 hours prior to the booking. Rescheduling requests submitted less than 72 hours prior to the booking will be considered a booking cancelation and cannot be reimbursed for.
